RECRUITMENT PROCESS OUTSOURCING | UNDERGROUND BASE METALS

“Xenco was engaged to support us during the ramp-up of a major underground mining project. We utilised them to supplement the existing HR and recruitment function within our business. Xenco was able to quickly mobilise a team and to support our business to achieve the desired outcomes and mobilise the project on time. They understood the nature of our business and were a valuable asset to the process. I would utilise them again.”

HR MANAGER AUSTRALIA, MINING CONTRACTOR

CLIENT

Mining Contractor – Underground Base Metals project

ISSUES

The client was engaged to provide support for the re-opening of a large scale, underground metalliferous mine.

  • The site required approximately 185 people for the initial mobilisation within a 7-week period. A further 100 were required 6 weeks after the initial mobilisation.
  • Roles included management, maintenance trades, operators, stores and safety and health.
  • Close adherence with company and client site requirements was a pre-requisite for the successful recruitment and mobilisation of the site workforce.

OUR SOLUTION

Xenco was engaged to provide a hybrid RPO solution to support the existing internal HR function. We provided a team of experienced recruitment specialists that were able to deliver on the tight project timelines. The remit involved the end-to-end recruitment of a wide range of positions (including initial screening and interviewing, medicals, offer and mobilisation).

THE RESULT

The initial mobilisation date was met during a changing labour market. The experienced team mobilised by Xenco were able to quickly navigate and utilise the client’s internal systems and meet the needs of the project to ensure a smooth, on-time transition to operations.
